by car

There are two ways to get to the Hirzer cable car:

  1. Arrival via Merano/Meran: If you are coming from places such as Val Venosta/Vinschgau, Bolzano/Bozen etc., your route will first take you to Merano/Meran. From there, continue your journey towards the Passeiertal valley until you finally reach Saltaus.
  2. Over the Jaufenpass: A picturesque alternative is the ride over the Jaufenpass. Cross the pass, which takes you through the enchanting landscape of Val Passiria/Passeiertal valley until you finally reach Saltaus.

There is a large free parking lot at the valley station!

by bus

You can also reach the Saltaus valley station from Merano/Meran by bus. The buses on the SAD Merano-Passeier line run every 30 minutes. The bus stop is located directly at the valley station.
